This is a 48 page pack based on the book The Time Machine by H.G. Wells Your child will need to read The Time Machine and then undertake three high level comprehensions on texts taken from the book (two written comprehensions and one multiple choice.) After this there are writing exercises using a series of sentence exercises, a descriptive passage, a balanced argument and a diary entry.

These exercises are written in a high level eleven plus style and are suitable for children in year five or six.  For the comprehension exercises there are clear and detailed mark schemes. For the writing exercise there are examples.

Your child should read The Time Machine  beforehand and then undertake the pack.  The pack will take one to two weeks to complete and is challenging but doable.
