I have now been qualified for fifteen years as a teacher and taught in various different roles including lead for ICT, drama and English over the years. As well as working as a full-time classroom teacher I also taught in Learning enrichment for English and maths. I have worked in both state schools and preparatory schools over the years and have run West London Tutoring for the past eight years.
I have a degree, PGCE and Masters (MA) of Teaching from the Institute of Education. My Masters dissertation specialised in teaching creative writing to boys in Key Stage 2. I worked with Ros Wilson for many years as her ICT specialist (Ros Wilson- VCOP, Big Writing and Punctuation Pyramid-found in most schools.) I also run Gifted and Talented writing courses and teach scholarship children.
I have taught and written material for other companies such as Exam Papers Plus and Examberry. I wrote the year five book “The Complete Illustrated Guide to 11 Plus Writing” for Exam Papers Plus: Click here to view

I now write my own books, including a set of twenty-two books for Eleven Plus Preparation from Year 2 to year 5.
I have also written my own creative writing book, The Ultimate Guide to Creative Writing which is a brand new comprehensive guide to success in creative writing for years 4-6.
All our teachers are senior, qualified and experienced in education and exam preparation from years 1-7.
Head of Maths
Carol has taught for more than 20 years and has worked at West London Tutoring for six years. She has been Head of Gifted and Talented when working in school and enjoys working with challenges in the classroom.
Carol is Head of Maths and oversees how we teach and implement our maths programme.
Carol teaches mainly face to face, with some online tutoring.
Deputy Head, Head of Zoom
Carolyn has taught for more than 20 years and worked at West London Tutoring for five years. Prior to joining West London Tutoring Carolyn was a Mathematics and Literacy lead as well as a Deputy in good and outstanding Ealing schools. She also moderates for writing for the borough of Ealing and has a wealth of knowledge on this subject.
Carolyn teaches only on Zoom and also oversees the year 6 SATs curriculum.
Head of Younger Years
Mel has taught for more than 20 years and was Head of Younger Years, then a SENDCo in an Ealing school.
She is Head of Younger Years at West London Tutoring and has worked here for four years.
Mel usually teaches face to face with the younger years and teaches face to face.
Deputy Head, Curriculum Manager
Lucy has taught in two Ealing schools for ten years, mainly in KS2. She has worked with children in all years and was subject lead for Oracy.
Lucy undertakes our year six specialist preparation for St Paul’s and Westminster (she attended St Pauls herself.) Lucy teaches face to face and on Zoom.
Sian has taught for almost twenty years and was Head of Year at Eaton Prep School for many years.
She has worked at West London Tutoring for three years.
Lana is an ex Head Teacher and has taught at West London Tutoring for three years.
Lana previously ran a school in London and brings a wealth of knowledge
Roshan has taught for ten years and tutored at West London for three.
She teaches in both primary and secondary schools and is a maths specialist
