This is a 48 page pack based on the book Moonfleet by J.M. Falkner. Your child will need to read Moonfleet and then undertake three high level comprehensions on texts taken from the book (two written comprehensions and one multiple choice.) After this there are writing exercises using a series of sentence exercises, a descriptive passage, an informal letter and a recount.

These exercises are written in a high level eleven plus style and are suitable for children in year five or six.  For the comprehension exercises there are clear and detailed mark schemes. For the writing exercise there are examples.

Your child should read Moonfleet beforehand and then undertake the pack.  The pack will take one to two weeks to complete and is challenging but doable.
